Whether you are choosing the perfect engagement ring, selecting an anniversary pendant, or getting that “just because” bracelet, there are many options for where to go to buy your jewelry. There are big box retailers at the mall and online outlets for fine jewelry, but nothing compares to the experience of selecting your next piece of fine jewelry at a local retailer.
From the time you walk in our doors, we seek to offer you a truly concierge experience. We are available to answer questions and provide knowledge and advice, to make sure you are truly happy with your purchase. This service doesn’t stop after you walk out the doors with your new piece. Local jewelers are here if you need a resize, cleaning or repair. And since they’ve been with you from the beginning, they know your piece better than anyone.
Knowledge and Training.
Shopping online doesn’t always offer you the opportunity to ask questions and get advice from knowledgeable jewelry store staff. Big box stores don’t always have someone on staff who has received an education and certifications in jewelry and gemstones. One example from our store was a mother looking to purchase her daughter a keepsake ring for her graduation. She stopped in and explained that she was thinking of getting her daughter a pearl ring, but while discussing this with our team, she mentioned that her daughter would be wearing this ring everyday. We were able to explain that a pearl may not be the best choice due to the fragility of the stone, and she may want to go with something harder, like a sapphire (which happened to be her daughter’s birthstone!). Our customer had done research online, and visited jewelry stores, but this was the first time she had been told that a pearl may not be the best choice. Knowledgeable staff helped the customer make the best selection for the occasion.
Nothing is more frustrating than buying something online, finally receiving your package, and realizing it’s nothing like the picture on the website. When you shop local, you’re able to see the piece in person which takes away the mystery and guesswork of shopping online. You are also able to compare, in person, the difference between pieces and brands and see first hand which option will make the perfect gift for your loved one.
